Robot birth.
Sheila Kitzinger birth anthroplolgist, grandmother and scholar has been writting for over a decade on the danger of training medical student's with inanimate plastic women, as it gives them unrealistic expectation of how women should behave during birth.

  1. I'm so glad the manikin had a gas mask on. It's bad enough that real women have to endure some pain and discomfort during childbirth. I would hate to see the plastic dummy uncomfortable - it may even distract the poor doctors from doing their very important birthing manipulations if the dummy was crying out in pain or wreathing with the effort of labour...
